SANTA!!!

So we went to see Santa last week and I was thinking Jefrie was going to scream the whole time because thats what she did with the Santa at our Ward Christmas Party but she did pretty good.....giving her candy canes helped.

We put Eastyn in his arms first so I think that helped Jefrie too. 

 They both didnt really smile but they are still cuties!

 We go to R Stafford which is a beauty supply store to see Santa cuz there is never a line and Santa can talk to the girls and walk around so that helps them warm up to him too. 

Since I know everyone there they told us get a family pic too.

 Jefrie didnt really like Santa but she enjoyed reading a book with him.  :-)

Our Christmas tree adventure

So this year Aaron suggested that we go and cut down our own christmas tree.  I was even more excited when he told me permits were only $10!!!  So we drove north past Fort Collins to get our tree.           

 This was our pre-teen sitting in the back just as happy as can be talking on her phone.

 Here are the girls of the family all bundled up.

 Jefrie was a little cranky walking in the snow so Im soooo glad we bought a sled for her.  She had fun sliding behind daddy while finding the best tree.  After a while she walked in the snow and played in it so im happy she enjoyed the winter outdoors.

 This one was perfect!!! since we dont have a lot of room in our house it was great that it is only half a tree,  its grew right next to an aspen tree so the pine needles never grew on that side.  :-)   I wanted a little charlie brown tree too.  Isnt my hubby just so manly.....lol

SEE!!! its PERFECT!!!  Im so happy we finally have one.   We have decide to make that a tradition every year.  We all had so much fun.  Ahhh Christmas is in the Air.  :-)

first solids

 We decided to start Eastyn on solids tonight. 

She really didnt like it at first.  She looked at me like i was poisoning her or something.  Towards the end she did a lot better, she was actually keeping it in her mouth.

tall and skinny

Eastyn is 4 months today!  We went to the doctor and got her stats and more shots.  :-(

Weight 11lbs. 5 oz.  = 8%

Height 24 1/2 inch.  = 61%

Head 16 inch.   = 50%

So she is tall and skinny. The doctor wasnt worried about her weight because she is growing length wise, so that's good. 

She is so active,  she reaches and plays with her toys. She rolls from her back to her stomach.  She loves to tickle Jefrie (Jefrie will sit next to her and Eastyn will grab her shirt and and play with it) She has the cutest little laugh. She puts everything in her mouth and she is drooling a lot. 

Aaron was feeding her and decided to teach her how to hold her own bottle.  She really doesnt know how to hold it yet he just got lucky for a minute.  She is so stinkin cute!

 Jefrie did such a good job painting her pumpkin. 

 She liked helping dad as long as she didnt touch the seeds and slimy stuff.  lol

 We went to the childrens museum for their trick or treat street.  Jefrie had so much fun!

 Eastyn stayed awake the whole time just watching everything around her.   (Dont ask me what Aaron is doing....he wouldnt look at the camera so I made him and this is what I got)

It was so much fun watching Jefrie put on a puppet show.  I cant wait til I really understand all that she says. :-)

Jefrie let me do french braids in her hair for church. She was sooo cute!  but she really wouldnt stay still for a good picture.

And last but not least....Eastyn's cute big smile!!! 

3 months!

Eastyn is now 3 months and has her first cold.  :-(  

She is smiling all the time and grasping toys and she absolutely loves when her sister reads her books and plays with her.  You can just tell she wants to be more interactive with Jefrie.  Its so cute!
