The Renaissance Festival

Today we went to the Renaissance Festival with my parents and sister Kim. It was definitely interesting. Aaron believes it is a place where weird people go to feel normal. I agree. It was a lot of walking but it was fun. Aaron ate a huge turkey leg and a fun ice cream thingy out of an orange peel. He fit in with the rest of the peasants. I on the other hand, ate pizza and french fries. :-) We watched a hypnotist that was pretty funny and a pretty cool jousting competition.

4th of July weekend

Aaron and I drove to Utah to hang out with his family for the fourth. We went camping wednesday and thursday night then stayed at Aarons parents new house in Lehi for the rest of the weekend. (there house is sooooo beautiful) We had a lot of fun. The camp ground was perfect, tons of shade from the sun and a river right next to us.
(I need to be better at taking pictures but this time I will blame it on the morning sickness. ) Here is Aaron building a dam with Nathan and Joey. All the little kids (Aaron included) loved playing in the water.

I will admit, i slept a lot (this whole pregnancy, being tired thing is cramping my lifestyle...j/k) but I did take a little hike with the nephews up the mountain but I mostly chilled in the camp ground. Aaron had a lot of fun riding the dirt bikes. He wants one sooooo bad.

Friday night for the fourth we all had a BBQ at Aarons parents house then watched the fireworks from there backyard. We had so much fun seeing everyone again. And the fireworks were beautiful.

Im a slacker, I know.....

So I know its for a good cause and all but my first trimester was horrible!!! Ok so it could be worse im sure but feeling like you are going to throw up all the time is not my idea of fun. I told Aaron that we will only be having one child. (i was partially kidding) But I am finally feeling a lot better now (15 weeks) and I have a lot more energy so I will make up for slacking by adding some blogs. :-) (I took this myself so thats why my head is chopped off)

Aaron kidnapped me!!!

It was sooooo cute. Aaron surprised me at work just as I was walking out the door to come home. He said "get in the truck Im kidnapping you. " So I get in and earlier he said something about a rodeo in Greeley so i figured we were going there. But then we turned west instead of east on the highway so i started asking questions. He, of coarse, wouldn't tell me anything so I guessed. I always know when he is lying to me so when I said "Carter Lake" I knew we were going there.
Aaron is the best husband ever!! We sat out and relaxed by the lake soaking up the sun and playing skipbo. And he brought chicken and corn on the cob to cook on our new camping BBQer for dinner. It was the best corn on the cob ever!!! He even brought our swimsuits but the water was waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy toooooo cold. Since I have felt soo sick lately and didnt have much energy, I was pretty sick of being home and not doing anything so this was a perfect little get-away.

Aaron's Birthday Suprise's

For Aarons 28th birthday I suprised him with a weekend in Estes Park, CO. It was soo beautiful up there. We saw a ton of Elk and big horn sheep. We stayed at a cute little Inn by the river.

We hiked all around the National Park. It was a perfect weekend for it. Of coarse we walked around the town of Estes and ate out at yummy restaurants but i dont have any pictures of that.
This is Aarons face after reading his birthday card..........

Thats right, we are having a baby!!!

Our Story

Aaron and I met through our singles ward. He met my brother, Cody, first playing volleyball. They hung out quite a bit. To me, Aaron was just a big sports fanatic. Cody told me I should date Aaron and I said, " No thanks." But after hanging out with him more often I changed my mind. Our first date was February 10th, 2007. It was actually me bribing him, I said I would fold his laundry if he takes me out to lunch. (he hates folding laundry) Well it worked, We hung out pretty much everyday since then. And i have to rub it in... my dad, who knew Aaron before I did through my brother, told Aaron that he didn't have a chance in HE** with me.....He was obviously wrong and very happy that he was.
Aaron and I were married October 19th, 2007. Just before our trip to San Diego CA. We had planned that trip in April for vacation. As the time came closer my mother told us, "If you two are planning on eloping out there I will never speak to you again." I have always said that I was going to elope and it was hilarious that she thought we were actually going to. We were talking about marriage at that time but we were thinking in February. But then we thought about it again and thought "why wait?". So in seven weeks we got everything ready. (We kept it small and simple) It was perfect!
Oh, I must tell you about when he proposed... He took me to Claim Jumper Restaurant near the temple. We went there the first time we hung out together in a group. Dinner was great but when we walked out to the car, he pulled the keys from his pocket and something fell out! We heard it hit the ground and roll under the car. The look on Aaron's face was priceless! He told me I needed to get in the car. He opened my door and frantically looked for what had fell. I, knowing exactly what it was, could not stop laughing. I asked if he wanted help and he said it was just a quarter. It was hilarious! Then he walked around the car and got in and put a quarter on my lap and said "see just a quarter." I could not stop laughing and he was laughing too. He asked why I was laughing and I didn't want to ruin it so I just said, "You're just a funny guy." So then he took me to the temple. We walked around it and when we walked behind the temple where the brides bench is, he gave me a huge hug and I started to cry. Then he got on his knee and asked me. It was soooo cute!!!! I wouldn't have change a thing. On the way back to the car when he reached for the keys I just couldn't help it, I said, "careful, one of those expensive quarters might pop out again." It was great!
